I have a1979 malibu,wanting to know if lowering the front end is a good idea or not?Does cutting the spring effect the way it reacts?Srapping the front end down to having only inch and a half travel,what is good to use for this?

I would not think cuting the springs would hurt the car. The thery using the straps to limit the travel to 1 1/2 in is when the car lifts at launch the front end raises that them it starts to transfer more wait to the reartires for traction. It will either pull the wheels off the ground a little or the car will stop lifting there. This is how I view it but the straps do work. In your case take the rubber out of upper contrl arm and drill a hole weld a nut to it and run a bolt through with a jamnut on it that way you can just adjust easy if you need to. My .02 so dont officially take that to the bank. Punkinhead II
