The car is done. Just have to paint the steel floors and put the seat and belts in. Now I can pull the old motor and start installing the new one. We should be ready for SS later this month and the next PTRA race. RM

Thanks for the kind words, I hope if will be ready soon. Details take alot of time so it's going slow. Add to that I hurt my shoulder and I'm working wounded which makes it tougher. Won't be much longer I hope. JM

Well after a couple failed attempts at running the car due to breaking a flex plate and starter then a leaky line lock solonoid I finally got a couple passes in last night at SS. I made a few throttle stop passes and it went straight and stopped OK.......LOL. It had way to much front end lift in it and was running on the wheelie bars a good ways. Best pass was a 5.60 at 123 MPH with a 1.26 sixty foot. I reset the 4 link and added a little more jet today. Heading to Greer tomorrow to continue the fun. If the new set up works I'll try a full throttle pass. I plan to be at Mooresville next week if all goes decent. JM

Went to Greer today trying to avoid the rain. I moved the 4 link reset the shocks and added 2 numbers to both ends of the carb. It was 82 degrees with 84% humidity and bar press was 2940 and dropping. Last pass was full speed and the car ran 5.493 @ 125.873 with a 1.215 sixty foot. Car still pulled the wheels too high but it went straight as an arrow and was very comfortable to drive. No sway or sliding around at all. The oil pressure drops to zero while slowing down because I have to use alot of brakes. Not a big deal but something I need to work on. Life is good. At a good track in good air it'll go mid 30s I think.

I plan to be at Mooresville. I think I'll try and run it flat out and see what it'll do with a little more tuning. Thanks for the encouragement. RM
