Hello, I was turned on to the PTRA class by a fellow racer on another board. It got me thinking about it and looked at the rules and very little modifications would have to be made for me to come out. The car is setup for NMRA Pure Street with a 310" SBF with an AOD an a 650 carb. The only thing i would change is the intake, carb, and put D/R on. Couple questions though. 1. Can the intake be fully ported or just matched to the head? The rule states that if you are under 335" you can run any manifold so Im assuming a Super Victor would be ok? 2. Can the 750 be modified in any way? Here are some pics of the car now, have alot to do to finish and can hopefully get a couple sponsors on board to help out.

Mark you can run any cast intake in the 310.So your air gap is ok Tony will have to clear up the porting vs matching rule on the small combos. The carb can be any 4150. Tony is also gonna clear up the wording on the coil overs on the front.

Thanks for the responses guys. I sent Tony a pm and he responded but i still wasnt clear on the porting. Same for are modifications allowed to the carb. I like a majority of the rules but wish those were a little clearer. For example the nmra states we can only port 1" into the runner on a carbed manifold.

On a combo less than 335 inches, you can port the intake all you want. Also, the carb can have any modifications as long as it is a 4150 style. Nice looking piece you have. I hope you come out and race with us.

Nice looking car, we need a few more Fords to pick on. (JUST KIDDING) It would be nice to see alot more Ford v/s Chevy in the finals. This is a killer class to be a part of, when the top six qualifers are within a tenth and reaction time could be a win or lose.
We are hoping this class grows to have a 16 car field every race.
Welcome to the class and it is a good thing to be a PTRA racer. Jim
